City of Visalia: Fire Station and Training Facility

This project was implemented using CM at Risk project delivery method with CM Construction Services providing project management, construction management, and project oversight services.
The project consists of a new single company fire station with 2 double deep apparatus bays, apparatus support spaces and living/sleeping quarters to accommodate 3 firefighters The living quarters include a day room, kitchen, dining, and laundry facilities. There are administrative office spaces for personnel. The Training Classroom is a separate building designed with its own restroom facilities and sears 35 students.
The Training Center encompasses a 4.65 acre site and includes a 6,840 SF, 2-story training building. The training building is designed for durability using CMU block and concrete. The exterior and interior design replicate commercial, residential, hospitality and retail spaces which also includes a four-story stair tower and rooftop for rappelling. There are separate site training props and vehicle maneuvering space for driver training.
